Savings Accounts

Membership at Diamond Lakes Federal Credit Union starts by opening a Share Savings Account with only a $5 minimum deposit. Because the funds in a Share Savings Account are readily available for withdrawal (four free withdrawals a month), the Share Savings Account is a great place to save for short-term needs including emergencies, vacations, and family goals (down payment on a car or other large purchases).

Christmas Club

Our Christmas Club Account is a special account for a special time of year! Designed to help our members prepare for the holidays, you can deposit funds during the year, and earn dividends! The easiest way to make consistent deposits to a Christmas Club Account is by utilizing payroll deduction. This account features one withdrawal a year and can be opened with a $5 minimum deposit.

Savings Accounts for Youth

For Diamond Lakes’ members 12 years old and younger, we have savings accounts that encourage learning the “saving habit” early in life. Young members will “graduate” to full credit union membership on their 13th birthday could even have their very own reloadable debit card to learn how to use debit cards wisely. Diamond Lakes is dedicated to youth financial education by offering Financial Reality Fairs in area schools.

Certificates

Certificate Accounts are accounts that offer a higher yield when the funds are compounded to the certificate. A minimum deposit of $500 is required to open a certificate. You can choose a length of time for the certificate: 6-month, 1-year, 18-month, 2-year, 30-month, 36-month and 48-month terms are available.

A penalty may be assessed for early withdrawal.
